About Scott Threinen

Scott ThreinenScott Threinen hails from Mantorville, Minnesota. This goose-rich area just outside of Rochester provided Scott with an early introduction to waterfowling. While goose hunting is number one on his list, Scott enjoys every opportunity in a duck blind, or following dogs in the upland fields.

Scott's talent for calling and love of waterfowl has seen him guiding throughout the Midwest for several years. This year, his competitive nature finally led him to the world of contest calling. With only 12 contests under his belt, he has four wins, five top three finishes and been in the top five ten times. These placements include runner-up at the 2002, 2004, and 2005 World Goose Calling Championship and 2003 Avery International Goose Calling Championship. Scott had a very successful 2008 season, including winning the 2008 World Live Goose Calling title!

He enjoys working sports shows and competing in calling contests. These public venues give him the opportunity to meet and learn from sportsmen all over the country, and to meet some of the more successful names in the outdoor business. Scott credits his success to his family and friends, and says "there's nothing better than a morning in the pit with friends".
