Randy Bartz - The Flagman
Randy Bartz spent the weekend testing new product while we hunted snow geese in South Dakota.
Randy set up his kit 20 yards upwind of the decoy spread and began to do his thing - Flag in big flocks of geese.
His latest products are an extension of his existing snow goose flags. This product line includes the Flagman's snow goose flag with additional full-body heads. We used the full-head snow goose flag on a pole (pictured) as well as half a dozen similar decoys mounted on stationary poles. These decoys look just like a landing snow goose and they proved to be deadly to these late-season birds.
We spent 2 days hunting with Randy and we had plenty of time to talk snow goose hunting strategy.

Flagging is a good option for drawing in wary snow geese but we also use Vortex decoy machines with Snow Geese to really get the motion going.
