Spring Snow Goose Hunting
Premier Flight Guides offer a mobile snow goose hunting unit that follows the migrating geese north through the central flyway:
- Missouri’s Squaw Creek Wildlife Refuge
February 2nd - March 15th - Adams, Nebraska area
February 23rd - March 20th - Lake Thompson South Dakota
March 1st -April 10th
We set big decoy spreads to draw the snow geese. It's not uncommon for us to set 900-1200 decoys.
Our mobile hunting unit follows the migrating geese from Missouri's Squaw Creek Wildlife Refuge all the way up to Lake Thompson, South Dakota. Our knowledgeable guides split into separate teams with one team hunting a field and the other team constantly out in front of the migration looking for the next day's hunt.
Our guides have countless hours over the season scouting locations and hunting these wary birds. We have developed great relationships with the land owners in the areas so we know we always have quality fields to hunt along the migration.
Our guides set our huge spreads each morning and we hunt from lay-out blinds or pits depending on the field. We have state of the art electronic callers and our success rate is very high. We typically hunt 6 clients per field and we can assure you they always have stories to tell!
