Waterfowlers across Minnesota were able to scratch the itch this September with early goose season and the start of the duck season. Now as the calendar turns to October the fall air is beginning to show up more regularly and we are getting excited for the days ahead. Crop fields are beginning to get harvested which means it's time to put in the work with getting our fields prepared. It's amazing to watch a patch of weeds and dirt in the middle of a crop field transform into a perfectly camouflaged set of pits ready to provide hunters with a great experience and great chance at harvesting geese.
We are optimistic on what is in store for the Rochester area this Fall and are expecting many great hunts throughout the season. The regular goose season re-opens on October 8th and will be open until December 28th.
